‘The opportunity to step away from everything and take a break is something that shouldn’t be squandered.’ Harper Reed
We are proud the Seattle Hotel Association’s Evening of Hope continues to be a celebration of our industry’s commitment to the community we share. The 23rd annual Evening of Hope on February 21, 2020 raised $490,000 to benefit StolenYouth.
As we deal with the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic on our families, friends, colleagues and partners, it seems appropriate to pause, catch our breath, reflect on our success and plan for the future.
We will not be holding a 2021 event but welcome conversations about what the future may bring.
Please feel free to contact us with inquiries and ideas, and above all stay safe and healthy.
The Seattle Hotel Association created the Evening of Hope Gala in 1996 to showcase the organization’s effort to make a difference for people in our community. Since 1997 proceeds from this event have benefited Lifelong, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Puget Sound Affiliate, Plymouth Housing Group, The Pike Place Market Foundation, the Seattle Police Foundation, and Mary’s Place. The Evening of Hope Gala has raised well over 10.29 million dollars for these deserving local charities and the Seattle Hotel Association is proud to continue our service to the community.
All proceeds from the Evening of Hope Gala benefit our selected charity and through the volunteer effort of the Seattle Hotel Association members and designated charity organizations, the event has grown to be one of the most successful Gala’s in Seattle’s history.
The Seattle Hotel Association and its member hotels actively support local and national community and charitable organizations in a variety of ways. Cash and in-kind donations by hotels to auctions, raffles, and other events exceed a million dollars on an annual basis.
